Conceived by the CIRDOC in 2013 for the 10th anniversary of the UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the ICH (Intangible Cultural Heritage), the travelling exhibition Cultura Viva explains the notion of ICH, which it illustrates by the expressions related to it in the Occitan region.
The system was reviewed in 2018. The purpose of the new version, which has been expanded and problematized, is open to revisions and additions resulting from the current state of ICH in the region and from occurrences encountered during the exhibition's tour.
In order to stimulate the visitor's questioning as well as his participation, special care is taken to mediate the exhibition.
